For attorney John Lancaster, life is all about family and giving back to his community.
So when he became a father to a child with disabilities, Lancaster, 46, said he and other
members of the community wanted to have a park where children with differing abilities
could enjoy themselves safely.
After attending board meetings and looking at other parks for inspiration, the group
founded Common Ground.
“Everyone in this community really cares. I was able to get involved with getting Common
Ground park built and don’t think I could have been a part of that in a city such as Tampa,” Lancaster said.
