Miranda Martinez was born and raised in Florida and moved with her family to Lakeland in 2000. Miranda earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of South Florida where she majored in Political Science. During her time at USF, she studied Urban Politics in London and Paris, was one of USF’s GloBull Ambassadors, and was selected for a Corporate Counsel internship at the Publix Super Markets, Inc. headquarters. During her internship, Miranda represented Publix in the LEDC’s Summer Leadership Program.
After completing her studies at USF, Miranda enrolled in Stetson University’s College of Law in Gulfport, Florida. At the conclusion of her internship, she accepted a position as a part-time Legal Assistant in Corporate Counsel at Publix, allowing her to gain valuable, hands-on legal experience while attending law school. Miranda went on to become President of Stetson’s part-time student society for over two years, was a mentor for Publix’s Internship Program for four years and proudly provided pro-bono legal assistance for Metropolitan Ministries and Wills for Heroes, both in Tampa, FL. During her time at Stetson, Miranda was honored to study comparative trial advocacy at St. Hugh’s College at the University of Oxford (United Kingdom), competing in mock trials with international law students, and to receive the James Nemec Scholarship award for her civic engagement.
In 2019, Miranda joined Clark, Campbell, Lancaster & Munson, P.A., where she practices in the areas of Real Estate, Business and Corporate law. She is an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoys travel, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
